Gucci celebrates Year of the Dog with a special collection

Italian fashion house Gucci has released a 'Year of the Dog' collection in celebration of Chinese New Year, which takes place on February 16.

The special collection by Gucci consists of 63 different designs with embroidery and prints of dogs. The collection includes knitted sweaters, hoodies, unisex bomber jackets, bags, sneakers, wallets, scarves, jewelry and accessories.

Boston terriers, Bosco and Orso who are the beloved pets of Alessandro Michele, serve as the inspiration behind the illustrations of Helen Downie, known as Unskilled Worker.

A frequent Gucci collaborator, Downie previously collaborated with Michele in 2017 on a 40-piece capsule collection of ready-to-wear, shoes, bags, silks and accessories.

Gucci's 'Year of the Dog' Gift Collection is now available in Gucci stores and on gucci.com.
