Cartier Announces Partnership With Sofia Coppola
Sofia Coppola has been officially dubbed as 'Friend of the Maison' by Cartier.
The Oscar winning film maker and style muse adds another feather to her cap with the formal position. Coppola who has a deep interest in the history of Cartier, in particular, the jewellery creations from the 40s and 70s. She also owns a 'Panther' ring (a gift from husband Thomas Mars) and is often spotted sporting a Cartier watch and various bracelets. She also posed for a series of portraits for the brand wearing the Cle de Cartier watch.
'Cartier has playfulness and they have pieces that come apart and turn into other things. There's something fun about discovering that,' Coppola told Harper's Bazaar. 'A great Cartier piece has its own story.'
