Tom Ford launches first watch collection

Tom Ford is launching a line of Swiss-made timepieces.

Known as the Tom Ford 001 Collection, the timepieces were created in collaboration with the Bedrock Manufacturing Company, which also produces for Shinola and Filson.

The collection features pieces with a rectangular watch face and comes in four different finishes: yellow gold and brushed, polished, and matte stainless steel. Straps are available in four different materials: braided or pebble leather, calfskin or alligator. There are a total of 62 strap options in 30 shades such as black, cognac, nude, cerulean and saffron thereby making them wearable for both sexes.

'This watch has given me the vocabulary to now do another one, but it isn't like I'm going to have 50 watches. I may ultimately have five models...I'm very excited about it because it's a very simple concept that no one has ever done, and is, as far as I can tell, nowhere in the market,' Ford explained in an interview with WWD.

Priced between 2,190 and 10,100 US dollars - or 1790 and 8245 euros, the Tom Ford 001 Collection will soon be available on tomford.com.
