Style.com comes under Vogue umbrella

In an unexpected move Fashion site Style.com is once again under Vogue leadership.

According to WWD, Style.com publisher Matt Rice will now report to Vogue publisher Susan Plagemann, while Style.com editor in chief Dirk Standen will report to Vogue editor in chief and Condé Nast artistic director Anna Wintour.

The site was established fourteen years ago and was created as the online home of Vogue and W magazines. In 2010, Style.com was pushed out of Condé Nast to Fairchild Fashion Media since Wintour had always wanted her own site for Vogue. When Fairchild was sold to the Penske Media Corp this summer It was once again shuffled back to Condé Nast.

Wintour was seen meeting with Standen at Style.com's New York office on Wednesday morning, reports WWD. It is also said that a relaunch of the site is in the works.

The new structure has been confirmed, but not elaborated on, by Condé Nast.
