Birkenstock collaborates with KPM

Birkenstock and KPM have teamed up for a 'Birkenstock x KPM' collection.

The shoe brand, which was created in 1774, and the Royal Porcelain Manufactory from Berlin, which has been around since 1763, unite for a timeless aesthetic with perfect harmony.

The collection consists of two models: the Birkenstock classic "Arizona" with two straps and the toe sandals "Giza". Both models appear in black leather, the former of which carries gold-colored motifs from the famous "Kurland Royal Noir" service while the latter has been embossed into the leather.

The "Royal Noir" service is based on an originally white collection, designed by Peter Biron, Duke of Courland, in 1790 and reissued for the 250th anniversary of KPM's black color. In addition, KPM and Birkenstock have a porcelain plate (on which the scepter of KPM can be seen) attached to one of the buckles of the Arizona sandal and the leather bridge of the Giza model.

Priced at 280 Euros, the Birkenstock x KPM Noir collection is limited to 300 pieces per model and is available from 22 May to 9 June at KaDeWe Berlin and online at birkenstock.com.
