Miranda Kerr defends her stick thin frame
Miranda_KerrMiranda Kerr has defended her weight, insisting photographs have been "exaggerated" to make her look thinner.
The Australian supermodel, who sparked health concerns after being pictured looking shockingly frail at a swimwear shoot last week, insists the poses she was forced to adopt for the photo shoot in Sydney distorted her frame.
She told Australia's Grazia magazine: "The exaggerated poses for the shoot have made me appear thinner than normal from behind, but I am the same weight and measurements I have maintained for more than three years.
"I am conscious of not only maintaining but promoting a healthy lifestyle and I wouldn't be able to sustain the hectic nature of my modelling commitments if I wasn't 100 per cent committed to feeding my body the food, vitamins and minerals it needs."
It was reported Miranda lost weight in a bid to fit into sample-size clothes at the Balenciaga fashion show in Paris, France, earlier this month.
Mark Vassallo, who styled the shoot for the weekly fashion magazine, has also lent his support to the 26-year-old beauty.
He said: "She's as healthy as anything. High fashion models are a special breed. They have long legs and they're very narrow through the body - that allows clothes to hang beautifully. Miranda has no problem with her body at all."
Miranda has urged young girls not to feel under pressure to lose weight and hopes they can learn to love their bodies.
She explained: "I really don't want girls to think they have to look like me. I want them to nurture themselves and really be the best they can be."
