Kate Moss has celebrity hairdresser James Brown to thank for keeping her locks in shape, but now she's returning the favour by backing his new business venture.
The supermodel was unsurprisingly Brown's first choice when it came to promoting the opening of his new London salon and has even agreed to appear on screen as part of a one-off reality TV show. Describing the pair as “more like brother and sister”, he said: “We grew up together and we see each other virtually every day so it's natural that whatever she's doing I'm involved with, and whatever I'm doing she's involved with.
“If you've got the chance to have Kate Moss to represent your range, you take the opportunity. She knows what she's talking about so to have her on board was just amazing.”
He may be a big fan of her work, but the fame side of things is something that the 40-year-old hairdresser is adamant that he does not envy.
“When you've known someone that long and you've gone to that level of fame and they're still completely 100% involved in your life, there's such trust there. We can sometimes even read each other's minds. I suppose I do protect her a bit but she does with me as well. It's made me never want to have that level of stress ever, ever, ever. “Photographers outside your house everyday, 20 photographers every singe day, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year – who would want that It's just something that I'd never want.”
The show will follow the lives of the close-knit celebrity group at the salon, described by Brown as 'homely'.
Having previously styled the likes of Lily Allen and Sienna Miller, the salon will treat not only A-listers but also ordinary members of the public.
