Hinze launches Brisbane fashion festival

Kristy Hinze was among the style celebrities helping launch the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Festival in Brisbane yesterday.
The supermodel was the special guest at the show, which exhibited spring/summer collections from designers such as Chelsea de Luca, Toscano, Sacha Drake and Paul Hunt.
Hinze, who has been filming Project Runway in Melbourne for the past few weeks, commented on the hot weather in the northern state, telling the Courier-Mail: "It's 32C outside - where else do you get that in winter It's genius."
She later said of the event: "As far as the fashions go, we've got some very talented people here which makes it a wonderful festival."
The gala continues today with the Queen Street Mall's 'Fairest of the Mall' styling competition, followed by more catwalk shows tonight.
