Britain's Next Top Model wannabe and WAG Abbey Clancy is turning her back on the UK to pursue catwalk stardom in the US. The 21-year-old girlfriend of Liverpool striker Peter Crouch was filmed for a new programme called Beauty And The Beast.
Ms Clancy is being groomed for international success by none other than the self-proclaimed original supermodel Janice Dickinson, who claimed she was keen to work with Abbey. She said: "Abbey is the type of person you want to get your hands on because Abbey can ride with the punches. She's a tomboy, she's clever - I think she's going to be a very gifted actress."
It's not all glamour though as Ms Clancey wasn't exactly ready to be introduced to Ms Dickinson when the supermodel arrived in Liverpool. The 21-year-old said: "Basically when I first met Janice I was sitting at home in pyjamas with toast crumbs around my mouth and she knocked on the door. It was a total surprise."
