- Renée's full name is Renée Toft Simonsen.
- In 1981, while Renée accompanied a friend to Ford's 'Face of the 80's' competition, Eileen Ford asked Renée to come back the following year. Her career began when she won the Danish 'Ekstra Bladet' model competition and then the New York City 'Face of the 80's' competition the following year.
- Renée had her film debut in the Italian film 'Sotto il Vestito Niente' (1986) and then in 'Via Montenapoleon' (1987).
