Diana Sar was introduced to the fashion world when she was encouraged by a model friend to pursue a modeling career as well, and was signed with a local agency in Bucharest. Not long after, Diana's unique features, spunky personality and 5'9.5" height caught the attention of one of the most prestigeous agencies in Germany, Model Management Hamburg.
With a bright future ahead, let's wait and see what the industry and future have in store for this classical guitar playing Romanian new face.


How did you get started in the modeling business?
Diana: A friend of mine who is a model took me to an agency in Bucharest and they liked me :-)

Did you ever think you'd be doing this?
Diana: Yes I thought about it and really wanted to model.

What do you like most about modeling? What do you like least?
Diana: I like the most about modeling that I have the possibility to implement my imagination and own creativity. I like the least that the average modeling career is too short.

Have you encountered any surprises along the way?
Diana: Not yet, but I actually like surprises!

What has been your most awkward moment of your modelling career?
Diana: So far I had none but I am still at the beginning of my career.

Have you developed any new interests since you started modelling?
Diana: My passion for modeling is so intense right now that there is not much time for other new interests. It’s like a tasty cookie that you like to get more and more of while eating – other sweets become less important at the time.

What are your favourite things to do in your free time?
Diana: I like running and I am doing athletics since 2004. I am also playing the classical guitar which I have studied for 6 years, and doing puppeting and am a member of the "Licurici" Puppet Theater since 2006.

Out of all the places your career has taken you, where was the most memorable?
Diana: The most memorable place so far were the “Berca mud volcanoes” which is an area in my country Romania. I shot my very first editorial there and it is very impressive.

Do you have a mentor? Who? What is it about them that affects you? Why?
Diana: Yes, the team of my Romanian mother agency which is just fabulous and transformed me into the person I am now.

Where do you see yourself in ten years? What could be your next career?
Diana: It is a bit too early to think about my next career. Right now I fully focus on being as successful as possible as a model.

What are your best beauty secrets? How do you stay in shape?
Diana: I try to keep the balance in every aspect of my life. This makes me feel comfortable and I am convinced that this shows.

What would you want people to know about you?
Diana: I want them to know that I am out there and that I am happy with what I am doing.

Any advice for new models? What advice would you give other models starting out?
Diana: I am just starting out myself but follow your dreams if you really want it.

Favourite all-time model?
Diana: Coco Rocha .

Favourite fashion designer:
Diana: The revolutionist Sonia Rykiel, because she was the first designer to print words on a sweater, to put seams on the outside of a garment and because of her idea that models should present dresses without a bra. I love her runway shows that are with a sense of humor, exuberance and which are full of tenderness and which are very sensual.

Favourite kind of food:
Diana: If it is healthy, anything that is comestible. I like trying new and foreign dishes.

Favourite kind of music? What are your favourite 3 songs at the moment?
Diana: I like hip-hop and rap for the way how they express their sentiments through lyrics. Eminem and Lil Wayne are my favourite hip hoppers, Kelis is my favourite Soul artist and of course Lady GaGa when it comes to Pop.

If I were trapped on an island I'd take:
Diana: You know, in Romania we have this goldfish that makes all of your dreams come true and not only 3 of them. So I would possibly take that fish with me ;^)
