Robin Linke- model of the month - June
Robin Linke
German with blonde hair and blue eyes
born June 24 in Hamburg, Germany
5'10" ; 178cm
'Place Models' , Hamburg

Robin Linke harbored her dreams of working in front of a camera since she was just a little girl even though she already had various appearances on TV. Following this, Robin got discovered by Jan Eric from Place Models and is now on her best way to become a world-class fashion model. Standing at 5'10", this German beauty has a striking personality and a fairylike appearance in the style of Laetitia Casta and Daniela Pestova. We had the chance to interview our model of the month for June 2007...

How did you get started in the modeling business?
Robin: Two yeas ago I got a visit card from Jan Eric. I was surprised and a bit afraid because my father told me to go to the agency but I was too shy. Finally it took me almost a year to call Jan Eric.

Did you ever think you'd be doing this?
Robin: Yes,I love being in front of the camera and I used to act in some tv shows when I was a young girl.

What do you like most about modeling? What do you like least?
Robin: I like to meet so many different people and to play different roles. I don’t like very romantic shootings and being more than 4 weeks away from Hamburg but I need to get used to it.

Have you encountered any surprises along the way?
Robin: Sometimes I don'T understand why some agents, even if you tell them you are happy with your mother agency, try to convice you to go with them. That's not fair and I don’t like it all.

Ever get tempted to get pulled into the party scene?
Robin: I really don’t go out a lot and I don’t drink. It's not my world.

Have you developed any new interests since you started modeling?
Robin: I love make up but I could also work f.e. in a hotel since I love to communicate with people.

What are your favourite things to do in your free time?
Robin: I take many pictures from almost everything and collect them. It's like a diary somehow.

Out of all the places your career has taken you, where was the most memorable?
Robin: I am in Paris now and love it!

Do you have a mentor? Who? What is it about them that affects you? Why?
Robin: Yannis and Jan Eric are surely happy if I say they are my mentors, but yes, they are! They gave me so many tips and motivation. I'm really afraid to travel alone but they call me almost every day and support me.

Where do you see yourself in ten years? What could be your next career?
Robin: I love family and want to have a normal family and a normal life.

What are your beauty secrets? How do you stay in shape?
Robin: I'm lucky and I'm lazy :-)

What would you want people to know about you?
Robin: I am just a happy girl, not a fashion victim.

Any advice for new models? What advice would you give other models starting out?
Robin: Get your chance. It does not happen always.

Favourite kind of food:
Robin: Pasta.

Favourite kind of music:
Robin: I hear what radio plays.

I'd like to meet:
Robin: I'd like to meet different celebities. All of them!! It's interesting to see that they are also normal and not what they look like on their pictures.

If I were trapped on an island I'd take:
Robin:My boyfriend, a computer with internet of course and Marlboros.
