Thais Gusmão is the designer behind her eponymous brand in Brazil. Thais graduated from Anhembi Morumbi University and started her brand in 1996 selling handmade designs in alternative stores. Her first brand name store opened a couple of years later and her brand continued to grow. She added lingerie by the early 2000s.
In addtion to 6 stores in Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo (Rua Oscar Freire, Shopping Villa Lobos, Shpping Morumbi, Shopping Eldorado, Galeria Ouro Fino and Barra Shopping), the Thais Gusmao brand is also sold at upscale stores around the country and the world, including United States, Canada, Chile, Portugal, Greece and Australia
